Antoine Bauza
A French board game designer, born in 1978. He studied chemistry and programming and came to game design through teaching. 7 Wonders (2010) took the first Kennerspiel des Jahres, and Hanabi (2010) won the Spiel des Jahres 2013. He is a leading figure of the "French style" of euro games, where theme and story matter beside the mechanics. Japanese themes recur in his work: Takenoko, Tokaido, and Hanabi. He also works on role-playing games and children's books.
