You are a traveler walking the Tokaido road from Kyoto to Edo. The winner is not the fastest. It is the one who had the richest journey. The turn always belongs to the traveler furthest behind. You move as far as you like and stop on a free space. Step a little and take a good spot, or hurry ahead — that tension runs the whole game. Along the way you collect views to complete panoramas, buy souvenirs, bathe in hot springs, and donate at temples. At each inn everyone waits for the last arrival, then buys a meal. A beautiful game with very little conflict.
