An economic game set in 19th-century Africa. You trade shares in four trading companies and compete on wealth. Over seven rounds, you play action cards from your hand into slots on your board. Used cards move to one of three discard piles. Getting them back takes a dedicated action. So the rotation of your cards is the heart of the plan. Companies grow by spreading trading posts across the map of Africa. Shares in a growing company rise in value. Which company to hold, and which to grow — that is where the mind games live. Diamonds and the bookkeeping track earn points too. It won the Deutscher Spiele Preis and the International Gamers Award in 2016. A signature heavy euro by Pfister.
