A rethemed remake of Kardinal & König. The stage moves from medieval Europe to ancient China. You play region cards to place houses and emissaries across nine regions. Majorities of houses in each region, chains of houses along the roads, and emissaries spanning neighboring regions all score. The original's mid-game scoring was removed, and the face-up cards increased from two to four. It is the refined version, with the luck turned down. The board is double-sided, and the side you use depends on the player count.
