A worker placement game about leading a Stone Age tribe. You place family members on hunting grounds, forests, quarries and other spots. You roll one die per person placed, and the results bring food, wood, stone, or gold. Resources build huts and buy civilization cards for points. At the end of each round, the whole family must be fed. Growing, feeding, and stocking up have to stay in balance. Tools let you adjust the dice. The mix of fighting over spaces and luck of the roll made it the standard introduction to worker placement. It was nominated for the Spiel des Jahres 2008 and placed second at the Deutscher Spiele Preis.
